The life of an exhaust system
What resulted in a collaboration between two of the biggest names in the suspension industry was the B12 Pro-Kit/Sportline. Eibach and Bilstein teamed up to create the B12 Kit, a combination of Eibach Springs and Bilstein shock absorbers, specially tuned and matched perfectly. These suspensions are designed for drivers who want a sporty look and feel without sacrificing too much comfort.
Like Eibach's performance lowering springs, the B12 comes in B12 Pro Kit and B12 Sportline, using the respective springs for each kit. Find out about the difference between the two Eibach performance springs HERE before you decide on which B12 is more suitable for you!
Lowering Front(approximately) - 30 mm
Lowering Rear(approximately) - 25 mm

Made in Germany, the Bilstein shock absorbers included in the kit are the Bilstein B8 high performance shock absorbers, which are shortened and made to be paired with sport/lowering springs. It uses a gas pressure technology which keeps the oil in the absorber under pressure to prevent it from foaming when the temperatures and loads are increasing, as compared to traditional oil shock absorbers which when put under extreme stress can lead to oil foaming, causing shock fading and reduced damping power.
It also uses upside-down monotube technology which allows the piston rod to be installed at the bottom of the shock tube body. The larger effective area of the working piston ensures greater damping force and better handling. Optimum discharge of thermal energy into the atmosphere means consistent high performance can be achieved and the sturdy design provides maximum safety reserves in flexible fitting conditions, e.g. inverted technology.
There can be a lot of benefits to replacing both the springs and shocks together. While changing either alone is fine, an enthusiast would find that upgrading both together brings about a much more well polished driving experience as it maximizes the performance of the springs. It is also advisable as both the springs and the shocks will be accustomed to the same spring rate if changed together and that can also prevent premature wear.
While there can be an endless selection and combination of Springs + Shocks, what's special about the B12 is that it is tailor made for each other, which erases any doubts of whether they would fit and work together well. Most drivers who likes to have better control of their vehicle are happy with the B12 as it's stiffer than stock, resulting in better handling and yet it does not compromise on comfort.
It also improves handling, stability and cornering feels more stable and secure. The price point of the Bilstein B12 is also attractive to many and it is raved to be a bang for your buck! The downside to the B12 is that all orders needs to be placed in advance and would take at least 4 weeks as every single set is built from scratch in Germany but this also means you can be assured it is made specifically for your car.
Overall, while there are options like H&R, KONI, K&W etc. the B12 continues to be a staple option when it comes to an entry level upgrade from stock suspension and many choose to go with the B12 and are satisfied with the handling improvement and most importantly, ride quality.
